This week's academics:
General theme: Homes and Houses
Math:Creating and solving story problems, subtraction, counting to 100
Writing: 1st grade writing paper & letter formation, autobiographies
Reading: Read-alouds with Iris, our student teacher
Theme Book: Homes Around the World
Letters / words: We have reviewed every letter in the alphabet and we have explored all sight words (If you do not have a list of the kindergarten sight words, please let me know.)
Science: comparing liquids
Social Studies: Other cultures
Song: The Fox Went Out on a Chilly Night
