Room 2 Parents,
As
you may be aware, next week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Although it
may be tempting to purchase a gift(s), our teachers would prefer something
simpler and personal, like a note, card or drawing from their students. So
rather than run around trying to choose the right gift, please find a little
time this weekend to help your child make a card for Mr Melling, Dana and other
teachers and staff that make a difference in your child's school experience.
Please keep it simple and hopefully your child will enjoy recalling what he/she
appreciates about the teachers and staff that they encounter daily at school.
At the end of the school year, I will coordinate a collective gift from our
class for our teachers, so save your pennies and gift ideas for then.
Additionally,
there are opportunities next week during school to support our teachers and
staff. Below is a schedule from PTA President Mary Dolich.

the following days:
Monday - Coffee and breakfast treats, bring in by 7:45, clean up by 2:15.
Wednesday - Provide lunch. Last year I had The Bent Brick bring the food and will do the same this year, I would like to have helpers set up the tables to look nice. Clean up.
Thursday - Set up a snack box buffet. I have Chinese food containers. I set out a bunch of different snack items and the staff can fill the containers with favorites. Helpat 8:00 or 8:30 to set it all up.
Friday - Mr. Choate does this day.
