Mount Hood

On Friday, the kids reinterpreted Childe Hassam's painting of Mt. Hood.  You can find the original hanging at the Portland Art Museum.

Friday notes

We took advantage of the fine spring weather to do some sidewalk art, and enjoy some outside time with our reading buddies today.  Thank you also to Jin's mom, Lisa, for bringing in a dog and teaching us about the world of veterinarians.

We are low on snacks -- please think of us as you are shopping this weekend.

A few quick notes on the end of the year.

  • Our Volunteer Appreciation Tea is Tuesday, May 31 from 2:30 to 3:30.
  • We plan to take a walking field trip to Macleay Park on Tuesday June 7, from 10:30 to 1:00 with our reading buddies.  We would love to have a few volunteers to walk with us.
  • The last day of school is Thursday, June 9.  We usually have a party that afternoon for students and parents (maybe around 12:30 -- this will take some organizing.).  If there is adequate interest, we also hope to have a moving party that morning -- we would love help boxing up stuff for our move to the Ramona.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A visit from Dr Yung

We learned about dogs, and being safe around animals, from Jin's mom.
