This week in Kindergarten

After a November of short weeks, it is nice to be in the midst of three full weeks of school.

We have been working on a number of things including reading our first chapter book (My Father's Dragon), making a "Butterfly Quilt", working on middle and last sounds in words, and writing short stories.

Snow: With our recent change in weather patterns, it is worth knowing that 1) if your contact info is up to date, you should get a message if there is snow day or late start, but 2) at times things can go wrong -- do check the media if there is any sign that it may snow.  It can be particularly challenging when it snows in the West Hills, but not on the valley floor -- we have had delays and closures when the ground around Chapman has been clear.

A big thank you to everyone who has volunteered in the classroom and to everyone who has brought in snacks.
