Next Week

Next week is a short but busy week.

• There is no school on Friday, October 11 due to a Statewide Inservice Day.
• We will have a "Marvelous Magnets" science class with OMSI on Tuesday morning.
• We will see our reading buddies on Thursday morning.

We have a big change in our letter reviews.  Thus far we have been reviewing letters and letter sounds in a holistic manner, using the whole alphabet.  Beginning next week we will be focusing on a single letter each week, while still working on the whole alphabet.

Expect your child to...

• Know a lot about the letter Mm.  I expect almost all students to be able to recognize an upper and lower case M and know the sound that an M makes.
• Learn the words a and to.
• Learn that it takes an s and h to make the sh sound.
• Read our theme story Julius by the wonderful Dav Pilkey (this week it was Miss Bindergarten Goes on a Field Trip)
• Enjoy more Mandarin, music, P.E., library (don't forget those books) and more.
