This Week in Kindergarten

Wow -- It's Wednesday already.  Here are a few highlights for the week!

  • Our field trip to Macleay Park yesterday was definitely a highlight.  See the pictures below.
  • On the sad side, we say goodbye to Teacher Iris on Friday.  She is off to finish her student teaching in 5th grade at Beverly Cleary school.  Please feel free to stop by and wish her the best in her future endeavors!
  • Today is picture retake day!
  • Iris will be teaching for most of the morning today.
  • Tomorrow, Brooke's grandparents will be in to help us with our Chapman auction project.  This looks to be a really cool item that would look great on a wall near you!
  • Next week we have conferences on the 29th and 30th.  Be sure you are signed up and be sure you know your time.  And don't forget -- no school on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!
  • Next Tuesday (October 28) is Grandparents and Special Friends Day.  We will have a party in the classroom from 10:00 to 11:00.  Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other friends are invited!
  • Library is Thursday: Don't forget those books!

Here are some themes for this week:
New letters: Aa
New words: is, have
Theme book: Life in the Ocean
Math: Tally marks and quantities to 10
Art with Ms. Rodhe: Clay
Science with Ms. Forst: Tree walk
